Damilola Afolabi popularly known as (LAX) is a Nigerian Afrobeat, Afropop and recording artist born on 10th april 1993 in lagos Nigeria. The young musician is the son of Nigeria billionaire Taiwo afolabi the CEO of Sifax group
He received his elementary and secondary education at Turkish international school lagos where he formed a music group called Flyboiz releasing a single titled "busy body" lex left the group to further his education at the University of Manchester United kingdom.
During the period of Masters in Uk The star started recording songs and shot few videos. In 2012 he released his first major single "jaye" which featured vocal appearance from Ice Prince.he met Starboy worldwide boss Wizkid through his stylist and went on to sign his first professional record contract with Starboy Entertainment in 2013.

The superstar teamed up with wizkid on august 2013 to release his first single under the imprint titled "Caro" which gained massive airplay and later ushered him into the Nigerian music industry. The song was nominated in the "Hottest single of the year" category at the 2014 Nigeria Entertainment Awards.
