She was born to an Esan father and a Yoruba mother in Owerri, Imo State on February 22, 1988. Her father is a soldier with the Nigerian Army and her mother a civil engineer. She is the youngest of three children. She first started her acting career at the early age of 7, when she joined the drama group at the Corona School Victoria Island, Lagos where she had her primary education. She went further to pursue her secondary education at the prestigious Queens College Lagos where she obtained her West African Senior School Certificate.

She relocated to the United Kingdom at the age of 13 where she furthered her education. She studied physical education, Performing Arts and Musical Theatre at the City College Coventry, the United Kingdom where she earned triple distinctions. While studying at the university she began to work with some production companies, which made her pursue a degree in Drama and Performance from the University of Wolverhampton where she graduated with first-class honors in 2009 and also won “The Foursight Theatre Award”.

She returned back to Nigeria in 2012 and began her acting career in Nigeria when she featured in her first movie “knocking on heaven’s door”. She also played a role in the short film “Brave” and the TV Series “Gidi Up” which made her very popular on Africa Magic.
