Opeyemi Gbenga Kayode popularly known as Pepenazi is a Nigerian based songwriter, recording artists, and performer born on 16th April 1988 at Lagos, Nigeria.
He received his primary education at kameesther nursery and primary school,aguda Surulere, Lagos and his secondary school education at mayflower school, kenne, ogun state, where his love for rap emerged, as he loved listening to the likes of wyclef, notorious B.i g, P Daddy, Fat Joe, among others.
He went further to earn himself a bachelor of technology degree in Estate management from the prestigious federal university of technology, akure, ondo state.
He recorded his first single as an undergraduate student, later contested in the student union government election of the school which he emerged the winner of the poll as director of socials (DOS).
He is currently signed to eclectic Entertainment. He made his debut into the Nigerian music industry In 2012 when he dropped his single "AROSE" produced by Bam Tunes. Arose video had established act in the Nigerian music scene make cameo appearances including vector, ice prince.

He later took a break from the music industry to complete his undergraduate program and serve his fatherland, as a final year student he needed more commitment to his academics. he returned to the Nigerian music scene with two singles, titled "Born you" and low simultaneously the song gained air play but pepenazi came into broader lime light after dropping his Olamide featured pop-centric single titled "ILLEGAL"on the 8th February pepenazi released a hardcore rap titled Adam featuring Olamide, on the May 2015 he dropped an alternative single titled Fifemayo, where he played around with words describing the joy of parenthood on soft instrumentals produced by T mode Beatz august 2015, he performed at the Ibadan edition of Star Trek and he made stunning performance that made headlines.

The second half of the year 2015 was Pepnazi's breakthrough period such that in recognition of his fast rise to prominence, he was nominated as Rookie of the year at the 2015 Headies "Flip the Script award.
2016 began for pepnazi when he dropped the single titled one for the road produced by Pheelz the same year he dropped the single titled Iwo Na (your wishes) featuring YBNL nation act Lil kesh.
In addition to his solo works, he collaborated with many artistes and was featured on hits including; gone are the days (with Dj Exclusive and Olamide ), obi remix (with Olamide, Ice prince, and Endia ), he worked with many producers, including Pheelz, Dapiano, Young John, T mode, Drey Beatz, Oga Jojo, Htee and others.
